Supporting Active
Military Personnel and Veterans

Since our inception by a handful of dedicated Army Air Corps men and women in 1940, SAFE has proudly supported those who serve our country. SAFE began as a credit union for the men and women who worked at what later became McClellan Air Force Base. Now, we support veterans returning to college and transitioning to civilian life. SAFE also proudly employs those who have chosen a second career outside the military. We know the commitment it takes to serve our country, and we make a commitment to serve them in return. That’s why current military personnel and veterans are pillars of philanthropy for SAFE.

Our Community Impact

Stand Down

Supporting Stand Down...
Supporting Stand Down...

SAFE Credit Union regularly supports Stand Down Associations in our region to assist them in helping homeless and other veterans receive services, medical assistance, and connect with government agencies and businesses to help get their lives back on track.

...so homeless veterans can get back on their feet.

Our promise has been to help and support our homeless veteran population get back on their feet. … Our motto is that no brother or sister is left behind, that promise doesn’t have a qualifying statement — it must and will be kept. We thank you for your support and are proud to call you our partner.

The skills, leadership, and discipline I achieved from the U.S. Army laid the foundation for me to be a part of an organization outside of my military service and be part of a team at SAFE.

To help veterans transfer their military experience into civilian job skills, SAFE Credit Union provided a $20,000 grant to support a new job-training program at the Sierra College Veterans Success Center on its Rocklin campus. The Valor Career Pathway program helps veterans adapt their military training to new career paths.
