Access comprehensive 24/7 features for your SAFE Visa® debit and credit cards. Our secure solutions are easy to use through Online Banking and the SAFE Mobile App. 

Activate your card

Debit Card

Log in to get started

  • From Online Banking, select "Card Services", then "Card Activation"
  • From the SAFE Mobile App, select "More", then "Card Activation"
  • Select the debit card that you would like to activate
  • Enter the last six digits of the card and expiration date
  • Select "Activate"

Credit Card

Log in to get started

  • From Online Banking, select "Card Services", then "Card Activation"
  • From the SAFE Mobile App, select "More", then "Card Activation"
  • Select the credit card that you would like to activate
  • Have received card in mail:

  • Select "Yes" to verify you have received the selected card in the mail
  • Enter the last six digits of the card and expiration date
  • Select "Activate"
  • Have not received card in mail:

  • Select "No" to verify you have not yet received the selected card in the mail
  • Enter the last six of your social security number and your date of birth
  • Select "Activate" to activate your digital card
    • Use your digital card to update your subscriptions and make online purchases
    • With an iPhone or Google phone, you can add the digital card to your digital wallet right from your SAFE Mobile App
    • View digital card details anytime by selecting the "Digital Card" option from the "Card Services" menu
    • Activate your physical card once you receive it in the mail (your physical and digital card numbers are the same)

Turn your card off and on

SAFE offers an extra layer of security with this service that allows you to turn your debit or credit card off and on when you want. Turn your card off if you’ve misplaced it or if you want to secure the account. Turn it back on when you’re ready to use it again.

Log in to Online Banking to get started 

  • Select “Card Services”
  • Select “Card On/Off”
  • Select the card you wish to turn off or on

  • Select “More”
  • Select “Card On/Off”
  • Select the card you wish to turn off or on
 
 

Report lost or stolen card

Keep your account secure by reporting your cards lost or stolen 24/7 through SAFE Online Banking and the SAFE Mobile App.

Log in to Online Banking to get started 

  • Select "Card Services"
  • Select "Card Lost/Stolen"
  • Select which card you wish to report (your card will be turned off immediately and a new card issued)
  • If blocking a credit card, you will be given the option to digitally activate your new card; use your new digital card to update subscriptions and make online purchases. Digital issuance is only available for credit cards, not available for debit cards.
    • View digital card details anytime by selecting the "Digital Card" option from the "Card Services" menu
    • Activate your physical card once you receive it in the mail (your physical and digital card numbers are the same)

  • Select which card you wish to report (your card will be turned off immediately and a new credit card issued)

Set card alerts

Get real-time notifications on your debit and credit cards by setting up alerts in Online Banking and on the SAFE Mobile App.

Log in to Online Banking to get started 

  • Select “Card Services”
  • Select “Debit/Credit Card Alerts”
  • Designate the email and phone number you’d like the alerts to be sent to
  • Set alerts for specific transactions such as gasoline purchases, ATM withdrawals, and card-not-present transactions

Log in to the SAFE Mobile App to get started 

  • Select “More”
  • Select “Debit/Credit Card Alerts”
  • Select the transaction category you want alerts for
  • Select the card you want alerts for
  • Select the delivery option
 
 

Add cards to your digital wallet

Securely store and use your SAFE Visa® debit and credit cards on your mobile device-like smartphones and smartwatches-to easily make purchases on-the-go. Be sure to designate your favorite SAFE card as your default card account in your digital wallet.

Connecting your cards in the SAFE Mobile App

The SAFE Mobile App currently supports Apple Pay® and Google Pay only.
If you have a different digital wallet, see "Connecting your cards in your digital wallet" section below.

  • Log In to your SAFE Mobile App
  • Go to "More"
  • Select "Digital Wallet" under Card Services
  • Choose the card(s) you want to add (Note: you must add each card individually)
  • A Digital Wallet icon will appear; select the icon and follow the prompts

Make your SAFE card your primary card in your preferred digital wallet.

You may need to confirm your identity with a one-time automated passcode for each card.

Tell us when and where you plan to travel so your transactions will be seamlessly approved.

Begin the process of disputing a transaction within SAFE Online Banking and the SAFE Mobile App.

Track and redeem rewards earned on the SAFE Cash Rewards and Platinum Rewards Visa® cards easily in SAFE Online Banking and SAFE Mobile App.

Log in to get started 

  • From Online Banking, select "Card Services", then "Credit Card Rewards"
  • From the SAFE Mobile App, select "More", then "Credit Card Rewards"
  • Use the online system to view and redeem your cash back rewards or select your quarterly cash back category.

SAFE Platinum Rewards

Get started

  • Create your rewards account at scorecardrewards.com
  • Use your SAFE Platinum Rewards Card for your everyday purchases.
  • Through the rewards website, review and redeem reward balances.1
