Miriam Dougherty serves the community with over a decade of experience in the financial sector, four of those years dedicated as a Financial Educator. In addition to being a graduate from Fresno State with her BA in Mass Communication and Journalism, Miriam is also a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor. Miriam is the proud daughter of a first-generation Texas Native and an immigrant from Michoacán, Mexico. When she is not spending time engrossed in a book or enjoying all things Disney, Miriam loves to spend the majority of her time with her husband and two young children.

Ed was born and raised in Sacramento.  He attended John F. Kennedy High School and later graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a degree in Government and a minor in Criminal Justice. He graduated from Lincoln Law School with a JD.   

Ed's experience is exclusively in probate law.  For 15 months, Ed was a judicial intern at the Sacramento County Superior Court where he learned "behind the curtain" court operations and how to draft bench memos for the court.  Ed worked for a veteran probate attorney before opening his own office to serve others. Before becoming an attorney, Ed served for 24 years as a Deputy Sheriff with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department and 3 1/2 years as a civilian employee with the Sacramento Police Department.
