His passion lies in bringing financial education to underserved communities, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed financial decisions.

At SAFE, he leads initiatives to bring financial education to SAFE members and the community at large through workshops, webinars, and the Budget Cents simulation program that provides high school students with first-hand experience in the financial decisions they’ll make as adults.

When he is not leading the SAFE Financial Wellness team, Hector spends most of his time reading, eating food that he probably shouldn’t, and being the victim of his two children’s nefarious schemes.
