“Tracy Jackson is an enthusiastic and accomplished HR professional, with a passion for helping employees reach their full potential and a personal commitment to service excellence,” said SAFE CEO and President Dave Roughton. “Tracy’s professional values and positive approach to her new position fully aligns with SAFE’s desire to deliver a top-notch employee experience – supporting my overwhelming confidence that Tracy is a perfect fit for this role as Virginia retires after 18 years of incredible service to SAFE.”
Prior to joining SAFE, Jackson served as the vice president of human resources and organizational development of Golden 1 Credit Union, directly managing a 15-person team dedicated to employee relations, leadership development, learning and development, culture initiatives, and benefits. Before her tenure at Golden 1, Jackson spent 13 years leading HR efforts for Sleep Train. She was retained during Mattress Firm’s acquisition of Sleep Train in 2014, leading HR activities for the newly formed $2 billion company. However, Jackson made the difficult decision to part ways with Mattress Firm when her role was relocated to Texas following the acquisition.
Jackson has earned two senior-level HR certifications and received her bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University. Outside of work, Jackson is an active volunteer, supporting nonprofit groups that help the less fortunate.
