FOLSOM, Calif. – (March 31, 2020) –SAFE Credit Union donated $50,000 to help fund a multilingual hotline to provide information and resources for businesses impacted by COVID-19 in the Greater Sacramento region.
The Rapid Response Business Triage Hotline is a collaboration between the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and the Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce to provide a go-to place for any business to navigate the local, state, and federal
resources available to businesses to address critical needs brought by the coronavirus pandemic. Businesses can access the hotline at (833) 391-1919
“SAFE Credit Union is pleased to assist with this unified collaboration to help our small-business community connect with the help they need right now,” said Dave Roughton, SAFE Credit Union President and CEO and Metro Chamber First Vice Chair.
“As one of the few credit unions in our service area providing business banking services, we encourage all of those who can to join forces and contribute toward a central effort so the maximum number of local businesses can be served.”
The two chambers will host the no-cost hotline and an email portal staffed by people fluent in English, Spanish, and Asian languages to assist the diverse population of business owners in the Greater Sacramento region. Trained business counselors will
answer questions, guide callers to resources and connect them with human resources, legal professionals, and capital.
SAFE’s funding will go toward paying for the first four months of the hotline, which will launch in early April. The chambers will then re-evaluate the needs of the community and determine whether to extend its services.
SAFE invites other Sacramento area businesses to support the Metro Chamber and Sacramento Asian Chamber’s efforts to provide emergency services for small businesses facing severe challenges due to COVID-19. To learn more, visit each respective chamber’s
website at metrochamber.org and sacasiancc.org and The Coronavirus Rapid Response Hub.
