Folsom, California – (March 29, 2022) – SAFE Credit Union recently received a Diamond Award from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) for its branding awareness campaign featuring five small Sacramento
business owners and encouraging consumers to “shop local.”
“This national recognition demonstrates our relationship with our nearly 6,000 small-business owner members we directly serve in communities throughout the Sacramento region,” says Amber DiBernardo, vice president of Marketing and Communications.
“I am especially proud of the creativity of our marketing and business banking teams who brought the stories of our area business owners and consumers to life.”
The Best in Category Award recognizes the campaign that included ads, social posts, television commercials and videos, as well as billboards. The business owners received increased visibility and residents were encouraged to contribute to the financial
wellness of their communities by shopping locally.
The business owners, also SAFE Credit Union members, are: Rob Archie, Urban Roots Brewery & Smokehouse; Cecil Rhodes, Nash & Proper;
Brad Cecchi, chef at Canon; Faith McDaniels, Nubian Family Beauty Supply; and Mckaylee
Mejia Bennett, Glink Studios.
The reenergized effort expanded SAFE’s “CreditYOUnion” advertising campaign to include the small-business owners/SAFE members who make a difference in their communities.
The branding campaign also boosted awareness about SAFE’s business banking services – inviting audiences to bank with a local credit union in the Greater Sacramento region. SAFE is one of a few credit unions in its service area to provide
complete business banking and commercial lending services to small businesses.
