Folsom, Calif. – (May 13, 2022) – SAFE Credit Union members can help others on the road to homeownership when they purchase a home or refinance an existing mortgage this summer.
SAFE is offering members $5001 to donate to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento®2 when they obtain a new mortgage or refinance an existing mortgage with another lender through July 9, 2022. Alternatively, members may choose to use the $500 toward their closing costs or have it deposited into a SAFE account.3

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento serves thousands of residents each year. The nonprofit, in its 37th year, received more than 7,000 pre-applications from families seeking housing last year. In 2020, they impacted more than 3,500 individuals through build, repair, and community projects in the greater Sacramento region.

Customers can shop at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday or donate excess home furnishings, appliances, and building materials to the ReStore for resale to help build homes.
